Written by Hot New Single on September 20, 2016
Fifth Harmony are white-clad saviors in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian society for their Mad Max-inspired “That’s My Girl” video. The Tinashe co-penned track is the group’s latest single off sophomore album 7/27.
“Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night,” singer says after group finishes performance as quartet
The quintet marches into a destroyed city, surrounded by wreckage as helicopters hover in the sky. The group helps the area’s disillusioned citizens by dancing and singing through the sandy streets. Hannah Lux Davis directed the clip, after working on acclaimed pop videos like Tinashe’s “Superlove,” Ariana Grande’s “Into You” and Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer.”
Fifth Harmony’s most recent singles have included the Fetty Wap collaboration “All in My Head (Flex)” and “Work From Home” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which won a MTV Video Music Award last month. “That’s My Girl” was previously used as the theme song for the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team.
