With possibly one of the most instantly vintage records of 2019, T. L. Williams delivers a refreshing new take on Hip-Hop Soul. Slow Jam Tape is the 1st single from his upcoming LP simply entitled “Kingdom”. The Chicago native brings just the right amount of braggadocio to a romantic serenade over a soulful bounce; reminiscent of past hits such as “Gettin Mo Money Than You” and last year’s “Cookouts”. T. L. produced the track, and bar by bar brings the nostalgia of classic songs from soul legends like Anita Baker and Usher. Dani Jo Williams directed the Netflix-and-Chill inspired visual, which co-stars actress Khloe Janel, and a full plate of chocolate-covered strawberries. The LP is slated for an April 2019 release with corresponding TBA tour dates.
