LaTonya Scott Reignites Solo Career With New Single “One Day”

LaTonya Wilder makes her long-awaited return to the gospel/Christian-praise music genre with the release of her new single “One Day!” Her fist release following a break from recording and performing, “One Day,” is a beautiful and inspirational track that shows off La’s newly reimagined sound.
Born and raised on the South side of Chicago, La’ began performing songs in front of her family at age 5 and by age 17, she was writing songs and singing with choirs and Praise Teams. She was heavily influenced to pursue her music career by her father, Cliff, who was also the lead guitar player for the legendary Chi-Lites. After taking songwriting lessons with Mark Luckey, songwriter for Fred Hammond, and learning the acoustic guitar, La’ began her solo career and recorded 4 successful music projects and began playing the acoustic guitar. Since then, she has focused on providing her song writing skills for acts such as the Immeasurable Gospel Group, Calvin Manley, and Paul Askew, just to name a few. La’ has also recorded music with various producers, including Dave Hall, Troy and Alex Weatherburn, and Nick McCree and rapper Noah Bohannon aka Young Noah.
“One Day” marks La’s stunning return to the music industry, and the debut of her bold new sound. Combining her smooth and edgy approach with her inspirational aspirations, La’s new single has a sound familiar to R&B listeners, but with an extra feeling of passion and emotion. La’ hopes that this new sound can make Gospel music more inviting and relatable to all. On top of this track’s rhythmic and soulful instrumentals, La’ delivers a moving message about the power of maintaining faith every day. By taking life one day at a time and always having faith, La’ reassures her listeners that God will always provide a way to work things out for them.
